Central Government has launched a new pension scheme named as “Indira Gandhi Disability Pension” for the handicapped persons of all states. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme was introduced in Bihar during the year 2009-10 as a part of National Social Assistance Program.
Under this scheme, the Government of India will be sponsored the scheme and provide funds for pension. It is national level pension scheme and will be applied for all the states of India.
Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- If candidates are getting advantage of another social security pension scheme will not be eligible for the benefit.
- Applicants who any physical disability can apply for the pension.
- There is no age limit for the beneficiaries.
- Upper limit of annual income does not matter for the disability pension scheme.
Amount of Pension
Under the Indira Gandhi Disability Pension Scheme, central government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 300 monthly for the handicapped persons in the form of pension.
